DONALD GATES - JUSTICE COURT JUDGE (retired)
The Honorable Judge Gates was responsible for determining the sentencing mandates for misdemeanor crimes within the jurisdiction of Washington County. His witty remarks and philosophical standards made him a highly respected lawmaker.
DAN SANDERSON, PHD - SUNHAWK ACADEMY
Dr. Sanderson is the director of Sunhawk Academy, which offers intervention and treatment for youths suffering from addictions and other problems. The academy brings innovative ideas to the fore, particularly a wilderness program that appears to be quite successful.
STEVEN CHILOW, LCSW - DESERT HILLS THERAPEUTIC
Mr. Chilow was the director of this outpatient medical model treatment facility when he visited Last Call in 1999. Now retired, he continues to independently counsel those suffering from addiction and other problems.
KARLIN MEYERS ESQ. - ATTORNEY
As a noted attorney practicing in southern Utah, Mr. Meyers was able to bring a fresh perpesctive to the radio program due to his broad background. He was most recently appointed to a Judgeship at the Hurricane, Utah Justice Court.
KIRK SMITH SHERIFF - WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT
Sheriff Smith is a remarkable man. He maintains the Sheriffs Department as a whole and also serves as an administrator at the Purgatory Correctional Facility. Sheriff Smith offeres insight on the high incidence of offenders related to nonviolent drug and alcohol crimes both at Purgatory and in most other prisons and jails in our country.
KRIS LOUNSBURY - PASTOR, LIVING WORD FELLOWSHIP
Pastor Lounsbury is an outspoken critic of reasons for drug and alcohol dependence and offers alternative steps to take to break the bonds of addictions, notably to seek help from a Higher Power.

As the Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Filter offers his insight on the influx in population and how it relates to a higher incidence of drug trafficking and use in general.

Deputy Chief Peck has appeared on Last Call many times, often bringing fellow drug task force officers to help impart the reality of the dangers of drug use and abuse in our communities. His task force is responsible for eliminating meth labs and executing zero tolerance policies for other drug crimes.

Sheriff Benson, now retired, is a dynamic individual who enlightened listeners with crime and substance abuse statistics from his county heretofore not known by many local folks.
GARY JORGENSON - DUI PATROL (ret), ST GEORGE, UT POLICE DEPT.
Although Mr. Jorgenson is now retired from the force, he was lead deputy in the arrest and conviction of DUIs in Washington County for several years. He had an uncanny knack for spotting suspected drunk drivers and his instinct was right more often than not. We could use more Jorgensons now, everywhere.
RAYMOND MIDDLETON, MD - ADDICTIONIST
Of all the guests on Last Call, Ray is perhaps one of the most knowledgeable about treatment of addictions. Ray has appeared on the program several times, and the phones always light up from listeners seeking his help with addiction problems. He is the epitome of the Hippocratic Oath. One of the finest men I have ever known, Ray Middleton still practices medicine part-time today, but the admitted rock hound awaits the day he can roam the red hills.

Lt Riggs continues to be a driving force against crime in southern Utah. As part of the drug task force it is a never ending job keeping vigil over the security and well-being of our community.

A guest on Last Call many times, Larry Meyers brings to the program a unique perspective: being able to view both sides of the crime simultaneously. In addition, Mr Meyers instituted a misdemeanor DUI program in Justice Court that was very effective in terms of prevention and education. Mr. Meyers recently retired from the city and went into private practice. With his background, he is probably one of the best attorneys you could have.

An articulate and loquacious individual, Mr. Georges has appeared on Last Call on numerous occasions. He has over 25 years' experience in law enforcement and currently is director of communications of the nonprofit organization, Century Council which is funded entirely by six major distillers. The mission of the Century Council is help prevent DUI, wih a special emphasis on hard core drinking drivers, and solutions to the age old problem of underage drinking.
